These adorable blossoms are thin (flat) and do not have a base. They are dusted with pearl dust and accented with a gold dragee.

Dragees (pronounced Dra-jeys) are shiny little metallic balls that we all remember on Christmas Cookies. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration considers the metallic-finish drages to be inedible, and are sold for decorative purposes only. However, in other countries (including the United Kingdom) they are classified as food items.
