Retors du Nord is French for “twisted thread from the North,” the traditional home of the French textile industry. This 100% cotton thread is a 4-ply embroidery floss whose plies can be easily separated, making it ideal for almost any type of embroidery or cross-stitch. Each card has approximately 22 yards (22 meters) of thread.

To make a thread colorfast involves highly polluting treatments and therefore, Retors du Nord threads are not colorfast. They can, however, be washed up to 104 degrees F. Never use boiling water or bleach.
